Dickerson & Nieman Real Estate Pre-License Program



Basic Broker's Pre-License Program (75 hours)

This is the class you need to qualify to take the Illinois Real Estate Broker’s license examination. After you pass the state exam, you may apply for an Illinois Broker License. This 75 hour pre-license program is composed of the following two parts:

  1. 60 hour Basic Broker Principles Course
  2. 15 hour Broker Interactive Practice Course

This course is set up to take the 60 hours as a home self-study and the 15 hours as classroom workshops.

Complete Broker Pre-License Program (text book included)

  • Credit Hours: 75
  • Tuition: $550 

Program Schedule

  • Five workshop course-meetings on Wednesday Evenings (6 - 9PM) starting September 2nd though October 7th, 2026.
  • Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for the first session.
  • Mandatory Meeting Dates: 9/2/26, 9/9/26, 9/16/26, 9/23/26, 9/30/25, 10/7/26 (test), 
  • Must attend all sessions to qualify for state of Illinois licensing requirements.
  • Limited to 24 students max.

Illinois Real Estate License Requirements

To qualify for a license you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have graduated from a United States high school or obtained a GED.
  • Complete the required course work.
  • Must attend each class to earn all credit hours.
  • Be of strong moral character with no felony convictions and no delinquent payments for child support, state income taxes or student loans.
  • Pass the written State License Exam.
