Dickerson & Nieman Donations Fund Field Trip
When Vickie Krueger, an agent with Dickerson and Nieman Realtors was in school, she loved going on field trips. Recently, she was talking with Patty Bachman, a 4th grade teacher at Barbour Elementary.

Many of these 4th grade students have never been on a field trip and are from very low income families. Most of the school's population receives federally funded free/reduced lunch. Securing the money needed for a bus trip to an educational destination is out of the question for almost all of these families.
This conversation planted the thought for Vickie, who brought the discussion back to the Rockford Dickerson & Nieman office. There, some of us talked about our own field trip memories; the fun, the excitement, and the learning that we have carried with us our whole lives. Why couldn't we collect some money from our agents to help make this happen for them? The word went out to Dickerson & Nieman's 5 Offices and Vickie told Ms. Bachman of her plans. She was absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm and the gratitude of the three Barbour 4th Grade teachers. Patty asked her WHY we were stepping up and Vickie told her about her love of field trips and the desire to see that come to life for these young people.
Today, the collections are in and Vickie will be presenting Barbour with the $2000 in donations from our Dickerson & Nieman agents and staff. Thank you Vickie for taking the time and making the first step toward this becoming reality!
The 4th Graders are planning to go to the Aquarium in Chicago to learn about the Animals of the Oceans…Few of these kids have even seen the ocean.
