Plans for this year's Rockford Sharefest Project were released. So here's the news...this year we will join together to bring help and hope to our city at
Roosevelt High School and a downtown initiative called
Forest City Beautiful!
In partnership with RPS 205, a major renovation will find its way to some very deserving students at Roosevelt High School. This school is a second chance destination for young men and women who are capturing new vision and purpose for their life. All of your sweat equity will bring restoration to a building that matches the restoration taking place in their own lives! What a great way to live beyond yourself!
Second, we will join in a two-year initiative developed by the City of Rockford and the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau called
Forest City Beautiful. Building on the many ways you distributed hope through the first annual Stroll on State, Forest City Beautiful is a cooperative effort to restore the life and momentum deserving of our city center. As the details form, my enthusiasm for the impact you will make is growing!
So much to celebrate and look forward to! In fact, I sat down with Creig Day for the May Leadership Podcast to explore more about what to expect during Sharefest this year. Here's the
link to listen in...
Mark your calendar for Sharefest this summer from June 20th through the 28th and
sign up to volunteer as we bring help and hope to the people of Rockford!
