Rock the Block - Realtors Young Professional Network Volunteer Cleanup
This past Saturday, August 22, several local Realtors and mortgage and title professionals came together on Broadway in Rockford for a very special project.
Brad Shields, Rockford Area Realtors Young Professional Network shared a little with us about his experience with "Rock the Block - Broadway":
"Have you ever been part of a group that when it decides to do something, it exceeds the expectations every time? A year ago, we started a Young Professional Network through Rockford Area Realtors. We set out to make a difference in the community, through working with the schools, community projects, and being a positive group leading our community in a positive direction. [Saturday], 8 months of work culminated into a major beautification project involving a special area that reached out for our help. Over 70 volunteers showed up to help and we made drastic changes.
I've never been more proud to work with a group of leaders who lead by example and through action vs talking about it. We truly Rocked the Block and created another EPIC event that can only grow. The moral of the story? If you want to see your community rise up and become all it can be, hitch your wagon to groups like ours. The most gratifying feeling is working toward solutions and helping others. Don't miss your opportunities! Momentum is here and now is not the time to be on the sidelines!"
