From: unitedwayrrv.com (Rockford, Ill. - 12/17/2015) – Representatives from Dickerson & Nieman Realtors and Gambino Realtors presented a joint check yesterday in the amount of over $15,500 to United Way of Rock River Valley. Funds were raised through a friendly challenge between both offices to collectively raise employee contributions for United Way's annual community campaign. The check will support community impact through United Way's work. "Supporting our community is something the agents and staff here at Dickerson & Nieman make a priority in their lives," says Frank Wehrstein, president and CEO of Dickerson & Nieman Realtors. "As real estate professionals, we work on deals together all the time. This was a wonderful way to encourage friendly support of a good cause and clearly the participation on both sides gave United Way a great contribution from two local companies." As a result of the friendly challenge, the combined total from Dickerson & Nieman Realtors and Gambino Realtors represents an increase of about 250 percent over last year's combined campaign totals. "We are pleased to be partnered with Dickerson and Nieman in supporting United Way through this friendly contest," says Jonathan Krause, president of Gambino Realtors. "United Way does so many greats things in so many areas of our community. As the Rockford community improves so does the joy of living in Rockford." Krause and Wehrstein presented the check to Paul A. Logli, president/CEO of United Way of Rock River Valley during a check presentation at the United Way offices. United Way strategically invests in outcome-based programs that achieve greater community impact in the areas of education, income and health. More than 425 businesses and local labor partners in Ogle and Winnebago counties make United Way a part of their annual philanthropic giving. Â
