Kathleen Kline - Making Strides of Rockford, IL
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, in support, we would like to introduce you to one of our real estate associates, Kathleen Kline. Kathleen is a two time survivor of breast cancer and recently had a bench dedicated in her honor! The bench is located at the new at the Swedish American Regional Cancer Center . Kathleen has had two separate bouts with breast cancer: The first in 2006, and the second in 2010. Kathleen is convinced that Swedish American Regional Cancer Center offered her the best treatment and thankfully, her insurance covered her at this great institution. In addition to her two rounds for breast cancer, she had had several surgeries on her breasts for other non-cancerous problems. All in all, the double mastectomy was her 7th breast surgery within a 5 year period. After the first lumpectomy in 2006, she underwent radiation therapy. Rockford in Full-Fledged Rebound
- The three-month rolling average price hit its highest level in 31 months at $113,178 in July, that's the highest monthly average since January 2011.
- Year-over-year monthly sales have been up 10 out of the last 12 months.
- The Rockford area housing inventory hit the 2,000 level for the first time this year, the highest since last November.
- Overall the absorption rate is 6.49 months or less this year, matching 2007, the year before the housing recession hit.
- New listings, which have been anemic to say the least, are up 7 of 12 months year over year.
