The Anderson Japanese Gardens first opened in 1978 after Rockford businessman John Anderson had just returned from a trip to Oregon. During this trip, he visited the stunning Portland Japanese Garden and walked away inspired. He wanted to create an equally beautiful space in his own town.

The 155-acre Klehm Arboretum is essentially a living museum. It's full of rare trees and gardens that offer an array of brilliant colors when the temperatures start to drop. There are three miles of chipped trails to explore and a 1.8-mile handicapped-accessible paved path. The arboretum is also dog-friendly, so grab a leash and bring your furry friend along.

Dickerson & Nieman Realtors recognized their top producing agents on March 12, 2015 at a banquet held at The Venetian Club. The event was catered by Pinnon's and the group enjoyed a DJ and Game Show hosted by Scorpio Productions as well as an Auction of great prizes including a Live Auction presented by Auctioneer, Jennifer Kiesling. Awards were presented to each of the highest producing agents for 2014. The Rookie of the Year honor was awarded to Roscoe Agent, Rachel Ralph. The Tom Z. Dickerson Award, an honor bestowed to a Dickerson & Nieman agent by their peers was awarded to Rockford Agent, Duey Hoff. Each of the agents in attendance was given a parting gift (just like the Oprah Show) and reported having their best time at an annual awards event yet!

Kathleen Kline - Making Strides of Rockford, IL
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, in support, we would like to introduce you to one of our real estate associates, Kathleen Kline. Kathleen is a two time survivor of breast cancer and recently had a bench dedicated in her honor! The bench is located at the new at the Swedish American Regional Cancer Center . Kathleen has had two separate bouts with breast cancer: The first in 2006, and the second in 2010. Kathleen is convinced that Swedish American Regional Cancer Center offered her the best treatment and thankfully, her insurance covered her at this great institution. In addition to her two rounds for breast cancer, she had had several surgeries on her breasts for other non-cancerous problems. All in all, the double mastectomy was her 7th breast surgery within a 5 year period. After the first lumpectomy in 2006, she underwent radiation therapy.
